Press Release: Fast Fast paced race is first for Osgoode: Jenda's Amazing Race

OSGOOODE, ON -- Media are invited to an exclusive preview of Jenda's Amazing Race activities on April 26th from 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at Jenda Paddlesports, 5426 Dalmeny Rd.

Named after the popular reality television program called "Amazing Race" which is a race involving various teams of two who travel all over the world in a scavenger type race; Jenda's Amazing Race has a similar format but is limited to the Osgoode area. Generally, teams will be required to navigate their way to stations (on foot, bicycle or kayak) where they will complete certain activities in order to receive the next clue. The actual activities scheduled for Jenda's Amazing Race are a secret.

The good news is that this is not just a one time only type of race. Jenda will put on an Amazing Race as a corporate event or group activity for 8-30 people and can handle up to two bookings a week anytime after May 1st 2008.

Though organized by Lori and Jason Kirby, the owners of Jenda Paddlesports, Jenda's Amazing Race involves many other businesses within the Osgoode community including: Julee's, Sweet Peas Pantry, McEvoy Honey, Red Dot Cafe©, and Osgoode Foodland. Together they promise that this unique event will challenge even the hardiest of campers and the most cunning of strategists.

The secret to success? Jenda recommends that participants work as a team through this fast paced challenge. Together participants should strategize and execute the mental and physical tasks encountered while navigating through road blocks and detours to the final pit stop. Those interested in competing should contact Lori Kirby, 613-826-0922 or e-mail

Note to editor: Media interested in the exclusive preview on April 26th are advised to wear loose fitting clothing and appropriate footwear for bicycling and walking. Media are also invited to view the practice run from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. on the same day.
