Streaming platform unveils first wave of talent for immersive fandom experience focused on young adult franchises
Prime Video is deepening its investment in young adult entertainment with the launch of Obsessed Fest, a large-scale immersive fan event designed to connect audiences directly with the stars, creators and franchises behind some of the streaming platform’s most prominent YA titles.
The company this week revealed the first wave of talent expected to appear at the inaugural event, which will take place June 27 at nya Studios in Los Angeles. The one-day experience is positioned as a centerpiece of Prime Video’s broader “Obsession Is In Session” initiative, aimed at expanding fan engagement around book adaptations and youth-oriented streaming content.
The event reflects the growing importance of fandom-driven programming within the streaming business, where studios increasingly rely on social media engagement, live experiences and franchise loyalty to sustain subscriber interest.
“Prepare to become obsessed,” Prime Video said in its announcement unveiling the event lineup.

Immersive fan experiences designed to extend streaming engagement
Event combines live panels, literary programming and social media activations
Obsessed Fest will feature multiple themed programming areas intended to transform online fandom communities into in-person entertainment experiences.
The Main Stage will serve as the event’s central programming hub, hosting live sessions with cast members and creators, along with exclusive footage presentations and audience interaction segments.
Prime Video also plans to introduce a dedicated “Book Club” literary lounge featuring author discussions, workshops and signing sessions. Fans attending the event are encouraged to “BYOB (Bring Your Own Book).”
A separate content creation area will allow attendees to recreate scenes from selected productions through interactive photo and video studios designed for social media sharing.
Additional features include screening rooms, exclusive merchandise drops and themed food experiences inspired by Prime Video programming.
Amazon Music, serving as the official audio sponsor of the event, will host a dedicated lounge featuring curated playlists, podcasts, audiobook experiences and live DJ programming throughout the day.
The company said the event is intended to deliver “exclusive reveals, surprise moments and unprecedented access” to fans.
YA programming becomes increasingly valuable to streaming services
Prime Video positions itself as major destination for younger audiences
The launch of Obsessed Fest highlights the growing commercial importance of young adult entertainment within the streaming sector.
Prime Video said its broader “Obsession Is In Session” campaign is designed to celebrate “young adult storytelling, fandom culture, and the passionate communities driving today’s entertainment conversation.”
The company added that it has developed “a powerful pipeline of culturally resonant, fan-favourite series and book-to-screen adaptations that continue to shape the streaming landscape and spark global online engagement.”
Industry competition for younger audiences has intensified as streaming services seek franchises capable of generating both viewership and sustained online discussion across platforms such as TikTok, Instagram and YouTube.
Book adaptations in particular have become increasingly valuable intellectual property assets for streamers, helping convert existing readership communities into long-term viewing audiences.
Obsessed Fest also marks the first live activation of Prime Book Club, a collaborative initiative between Prime Video and Amazon MGM Studios focused on promoting literary adaptations and reading communities.

Meanwhile, Amazon Music continues positioning itself as a broader entertainment platform through podcasts, audiobooks, playlists and artist-driven content.
