Media Release: Halifax Chamber to Host Rick Hansen at Distinguished Speakers Series

On Thursday, February 8th, the Halifax Chamber of Commerce will welcome Rick Hansen, Founder & CEO, Rick Hansen Foundation, who will present Removing Barriers and Unleashing Potential over lunch at the Westin Halifax. Registration will begin at 11:30 am. Hansen will take the stage at approximately 1:00 pm Media Release (02/06/2018) Halifax, NS - The Rick Hansen Foundation believes that when barriers are removed and people with disabilities can live, work and play to their full potential, the entire community and economy benefits.

The new Accessibility legislation will bring changes and create opportunities for Nova Scotia businesses. With a new $1 million government program, small businesses in Nova Scotia will be able to provide greater accessibility and grow their operations. The Chamber believes the program will improve business access to this growing market both in terms of customers and workers.
