Press Release: SWEATY FEET IN WINTER? UNIQUE ANTIPERSPIRANT MAY BE AN IDEAL STOCKING STUFFER

Health

Toronto, Canada: In winter, sweaty feet can be a problem because heavy socks, boots and sports equipment limit the amount of perspiration which can escape. DrysolTM is a unique antiperspirant that reduces uncomfortable and often embarrassing wetness and odour.

DrysolTM is a unique maximum-strength antiperspirant, clinically proven to reduce sweating on the underarms, hands, and feet. DrysolTM is kept behind the pharmacy counter, but no prescription is needed. DrysolTM is applied only once or twice per week at bedtime.

“Drysol has a unique antiperspirant and antibacterial formulation that stops wetness and also odour.” says Eddie Yuen, Doctor of Podiatric Medicine, Mississauga, Ontario. “I’ve recommended DrysolTM for over 10 years.”

DrysolTM was originally developed for the treatment of hyperhidrosis (excessive sweating). DrysolTM Extra Strength works on the tough cases. DrysolTM Mild works on milder cases and sensitive areas.

“If a patient already has a condition like athlete’s foot, excess sweat can make it worse or prolong the healing,” says Eddie Yuen. “Keeping feet dry also saves a lot of money on replacement footwear and sportswear, which can get expensive.”

Some facts about hyperhidrosis or excessive sweating:

• Hyperhidrosis can be generalized (entire body) or focal (affecting 1 or more body areas like palms, soles, armpits or face)

• Hyperhidrosis is a common condition (3%) in adults

• The majority (60%+) do not seek medical treatment

• Excessive sweating typically affects adults, between the ages of 25-64 years

• The onset of hyperhidrosis is often in the late teens or early 20s

• Hyperhidrosis affects both men and women equally
