Canadian Heavy Music Festival Invites Artists Nationwide to Apply for November Showcase in Ottawa
OTTAWA — Organizers of Ottawa’s Capital Punishment Festival have officially opened band submissions for the festival’s 2026 edition, inviting emerging and established Canadian artists to apply for performance opportunities at one of the country’s growing underground heavy music events.
Scheduled for November 27–29, 2026, the festival will once again take over multiple venues throughout Ottawa’s historic ByWard Market, marking its third edition with an expanded lineup, additional venues and a broader showcase of Canada’s independent music scene.
Presented by Chord Productions and supported by Ottawa Tourism, the multi-day event has steadily grown into a platform for underground artists spanning a wide range of heavy and alternative music genres. Festival organizers say this year’s edition will continue to build on that momentum by bringing together national touring acts alongside local and emerging performers.
Festival Expands With More Venues and Artists
Capital Punishment Festival has positioned itself as a destination for fans of heavy music, offering performances across several downtown venues rather than a single concert location.
