Marmerulo Last Sunday, at Palazzetto di Marmirolo, the first edition of “Marmirhockey” was held, a quadrangular wheelchair hockey game that saw the success of the new Italian champions of Sharks Monza, who in the final defeated hosts Macron Warriors Viadana. The final match result, 12-6 for the Sharks, undoubtedly equals the Monza team, but the race was beautiful and fought to the end. In the third place final, Coco Loco Padova won 2-0 against Wolverhampton Paregio, the Serie A team. Beyond the sporting outcome, what happened was a huge celebration of sport and engagement that officially concluded the 2021-2022 competitive season. The gala was made possible thanks to the availability of the local administration of Marmerolo and the commitment of all the people working together with the athletes, allowing them to carry out their sporting activities in the best possible way. “A beautiful and demanding day with three small races in the morning and the Grand Final in the afternoon. The races that said a lot and made us understand at what level this technical track would be built – commented Fabio Merlino, Warriors coach at the end of the day -. I really liked the approach and awareness, I didn’t like nervousness any less at certain moments that destabilized the progress of the race. We must be good at managing emotions. In general, I am very satisfied with all the players, I have constantly worked on making all the elements spin because with tournaments like this the level of the team rises. A round of applause to all my children. They are my pride.”
