Thursday 16 December, on the occasion of the anniversary of the launch of The first Italian satellite, San Marco 1, which took place on December 15, 1964, in National Museum of Science and Technology Participate in first edition From National Space Day, created by the Prime Minister on the proposal of the Minister of Technological Innovation and Digital Transition, Vittorio Colao, Delegate for Space and Aviation Policy.

The initiative aims to raise awareness of the complex research and development work that underpins space activities and understand their impact on our daily lives, thanks to its multiple applications.
To celebrate this day, the Museum, along with experts from OHB Italia – one of the major companies operating in the aviation sector – will meet with teachers and high school students to explore these issues.

The meetings are held as part of the ESERO Italia project, co-financed and coordinated by the Italian Space Agency and the European Space Agency with the support of a national consortium led by the Leonardo da Vinci National Museum of Science and Technology, which has always been committed with ASI in the mass dissemination of scientific culture.
