TORONTO, ON — Canadian rock musician Jeff Martin, best known as the frontman of The Tea Party, will return to Toronto on March 5, 2027, for a special acoustic performance at TD Music Hall as part of his upcoming Canadian solo tour celebrating the 21st anniversary of his debut solo album, Exile and The Kingdom.
Presented by Massey Hall, the concert will feature selections from Martin’s solo catalogue alongside some of The Tea Party’s best-known songs. The performance will also include personal stories about his career, offering audiences a more intimate experience than his traditional full-band concerts.
Tickets for the Toronto performance will go on sale Friday, November 6, 2026, at 10 a.m., with membership presale opportunities also available.
Jeff Martin Celebrates 21 Years of Exile and The Kingdom
The upcoming tour marks a significant milestone in Martin’s solo career, highlighting more than two decades since the release of Exile and The Kingdom.
Known for his distinctive musical approach, Martin has spent more than 30 years combining rock, blues and Middle Eastern influences to create a sound that has attracted audiences across Canada and internationally.
As the lead vocalist, guitarist and principal songwriter of The Tea Party, Martin helped establish the band as one of Canada’s internationally recognized rock acts. The group’s success, including multiple platinum-certified albums and extensive international touring, contributed to his reputation as a prominent figure in Canadian rock music.
His solo career has allowed him to explore additional musical styles while maintaining the guitar-driven arrangements and expressive vocals associated with his work in The Tea Party.
Acoustic Performances to Offer a More Personal Concert Experience
Unlike larger rock productions, the anniversary tour will focus on stripped-down acoustic arrangements, placing Martin’s musicianship, songwriting and storytelling at the centre of each performance.
Concertgoers can expect a combination of material from Exile and The Kingdom, popular Tea Party songs and other selections from his solo releases.
The format will also give Martin an opportunity to share personal experiences from his decades of touring and recording.
“It’s been a while since I have strapped on the acoustic guitar and travelled my homeland,” says Martin. “I am looking forward to sharing some very special evenings with some very special people.”
The acoustic approach is expected to provide audiences with a different perspective on familiar songs while highlighting the musical influences that have shaped Martin’s career.
TD Music Hall to Host Toronto Anniversary Concert
The Toronto performance will take place at TD Music Hall, a 500-capacity venue within Allied Music Centre.
The venue is designed to accommodate emerging Canadian musicians, established performers and international touring artists, while supporting music education and community programming.
Its smaller capacity provides a setting suited to Martin’s acoustic concert format, allowing audiences to experience the performance in a more intimate environment.
The event also adds to Allied Music Centre’s live entertainment programming, which brings together Canadian and international performers across several downtown Toronto venues.
Allied Music Centre Supports Canadian Music and Artist Development
Allied Music Centre operates as a cultural destination focused on live performances, artist development, education and community engagement.
The complex includes Massey Hall, featuring the restored Allan Slaight Auditorium, the Muskoka Spirits Basement Bar, TD Music Hall and Allied Music Centre Theatre.
It also houses The Deane Cameron Recording Studio and creative editing facilities designed to support established musicians, emerging performers and community organizations.
Through these facilities, Allied Music Centre aims to strengthen Toronto’s live music ecosystem while creating opportunities for artists and audiences.
