Innovation, a young PhD student from Barry won the Italy-Canada Award

Leonardo Sportelli is a 27-year-old PhD student from Barry Department of Basic Medical Sciences, Neurology and Sense Organs, University of Barry Winner of the Italy-Canada Award for Innovation 2022 for the Mental Health category. Founded ten years ago by the Canadian Embassy in Italy, the Innovation Award aims to enhance strong and targeted relationships between individuals, researchers and organizations in Italy and their colleagues in Canada.

The goal is to use it based on the tools and ideas of the analysis Gender based analysis plus (+), An initiative of the Government of Canada that aims to improve the effectiveness and impact of initiatives (scientific research, socio-cultural research, political programs) and to reduce inequalities between gender and other organizational groups.
