Field Hockey 2021 ends in a decidedly negative balance. Conflicting notes come from both teams in the A2 and Second Division, both of which, in fact, in the first part of the season disappointed expectations. It begins with the “main” forces trained by coach Bernardini. The tally was really disappointing, especially when compared to the excellent 2020-2021 season. The Bianazori were at the bottom of the standings with eight straight defeats corrected and no point yet. The goal difference also hurts the Sufi players who scored the worst attack in the tournament with 23 goals, and the worst defense in the league with 57 goals in the back. Prato failed in the direct confrontation with Afp Giovinazzo and in the confrontation with the Rotellistica Camaiore. Ironically, he played his best match early in the season against leader Gama Sarzana, coming one step closer to success, only to be caught and almost overtaken by the Ligurians at the end. Now all hopes of moving the standings are expected to January 16, when the tournament will resume after the Christmas holidays. Hockey Field will visit Startit Grosseto in Alice, the penultimate force of the tournament, and here she will definitely have to reach the first points of the season. Then the second round begins next week. As mentioned, the Serie B balance is also negative, closing the Coppa Italia group in second place behind Follonica Hockey and thus excluding it from the competition already in the preliminary stage. The only partial consolation for Barbani’s forces is the victory over Castiglione in the first and second leg.
