New Single Supports Nationwide Rollout of WHAT IF IT ALL GOES RIGHT? Ahead of June 5 Release
Toronto-based electronic music duo Zeds Dead, alongside ARDN and Grammy Award-winning producer Boi-1da, have released “WE CAME TO BLEED,” the latest single from Canada Soccer’s Perfect Pitch music initiative.
Announced Thursday by Canada Soccer and Infinity &, the track forms part of the upcoming album WHAT IF IT ALL GOES RIGHT?, scheduled for release on June 5. The project aims to unite Canadian musicians behind the country’s national soccer programs while also supporting youth participation and inclusion in the sport.
The release continues the broader rollout of Perfect Pitch, described by organizers as a landmark music ambassador program that brings together artists from across Canada to create a soundtrack for what Canada Soccer views as a defining period for the sport nationally.
High-Energy Collaboration Blends Hip-Hop and Electronic Music
Track Reflects Pressure and Pride of Elite Competition
“WE CAME TO BLEED” combines hard-edged hip-hop production with electronic influences, reflecting the creative backgrounds of all three collaborators. The song is positioned as a motivational anthem centred on perseverance, ambition and national pride.
According to the release, the track is intended to capture “the urgency, pressure and pride of competing at the highest level.”
The production merges Zeds Dead’s electronic sound with Boi-1da’s established hip-hop style, while ARDN delivers the track’s central vocal performance. Organizers said the artist’s melodic flow and storytelling are designed to mirror the mentality of athletes competing on the global stage.
Lyrically, the song emphasizes confidence and resilience. One featured line — “I got the Midas touch, I’m like Alphonso Davies” — references Canadian soccer star Alphonso Davies and ties athletic achievement to broader themes of national identity and aspiration.
The single is one of several collaborations expected to be released ahead of the album’s launch next month.
Perfect Pitch Initiative Ties Music to Grassroots Soccer Development
Album Proceeds to Support Canada Soccer Foundation Programs
Beyond its entertainment focus, Perfect Pitch is being promoted as a cultural and charitable initiative connecting Canadian music with soccer development efforts across the country.
Organizers said proceeds from the album will support the Canada Soccer Foundation through programs aimed at increasing access to soccer, reducing financial barriers for young players and expanding grassroots development opportunities for Canada’s Men’s and Women’s National Teams.
The album is being distributed in partnership with Universal Music Canada and will feature a range of Canadian artists spanning multiple genres and regions.
The project is being led by Boi-1da as executive producer, with organizers describing the album as one of the most diverse collections of Canadian musical talent assembled for a sports-related initiative.
Additional singles and artist collaborations are expected to be announced in the coming weeks as momentum builds toward the June 5 release date.
Zeds Dead Marks Major Career Milestones Amid Album Campaign
Duo Celebrates 15 Years Together and 10 Years of Deadbeats Label
The Perfect Pitch collaboration arrives during a significant period for Zeds Dead, the Toronto duo made up of Dylan Mamid and Zachary Rapp-Rovan.
The group is celebrating its 15th anniversary this year alongside the 10-year anniversary of its Deadbeats label. The milestones coincide with the recently announced Journey of a Lifetime tour, described as the largest headlining tour of the duo’s career.
The North American tour will feature amphitheatre performances and large-scale shows designed to reflect the evolution of the act from Toronto’s underground bass music scene into an internationally recognized electronic music brand.
Zeds Dead first emerged in the late 2000s after the pair transitioned from earlier hip-hop collaborations into bass and dubstep production. They gained early international attention through remix work, including their widely circulated remix of Blue Foundation’s “Eyes on Fire.”
By 2010 and 2011, the duo had established a strong global touring presence, supported by festival appearances and a growing catalogue of releases. Their 2014 single “Lost You” later achieved platinum certification.
In 2016, Zeds Dead released their debut full-length album Northern Lights and launched Deadbeats, a label that has since become a prominent platform for bass music artists.
The duo continued that trajectory in 2025 with the release of Return To The Spectrum of Intergalactic Happiness, a 14-track project blending cinematic sampling, hip-hop textures and electronic production.
Organizers said a new studio album from Zeds Dead is expected later this June, continuing the creative direction established through their recent releases and anniversary celebrations.
