Canadian music audiences can expect another major release in the symphonic power metal scene this autumn as Nashville-based band Valkyrie’s Fire has launched the official music video and single for “Cascade,” the second track unveiled from its forthcoming full-length album, Out of Darkness, scheduled for release on September 18, 2026 through Eclipse Records.
The newly released video, directed by ProMotion LLC and filmed at Precision Dynamics International in Franklin, Tennessee, combines a performance-focused presentation with striking celestial imagery. Designed to complement the song’s atmospheric themes, the production places the beauty of the night sky and the cosmos at the centre of the visual experience while introducing listeners to another chapter of the band’s debut studio album.
‘Cascade’ Focuses on the Beauty of the Night Sky
Unlike narrative-driven music videos, “Cascade” embraces a minimalist concept that allows the music and visual effects to work together. The song explores the quiet experience of watching daylight fade into darkness as stars and constellations gradually emerge across a clear evening sky.
Frontwoman Bettie Floyd explained the creative direction behind the visual presentation.

Debut Album Showcases Symphonic Metal Influences
Out of Darkness marks Valkyrie’s Fire’s first full-length studio album following the release of its 2024 EP, Ascension. Produced and engineered by guitarist Joey Grimaldi, the 13-track project blends orchestral arrangements, dual-vocal harmonies and heavy guitar-driven compositions.
The album artwork was created by renowned illustrator Jan Yrlund, whose portfolio includes artwork for established metal acts including Battle Beast, Manowar and Delain.
One of the album’s featured tracks, “Burning Sky,” includes guest vocals from Mikael Sehlin of Amaranthe, who also contributed to the album’s mastering. The song examines resilience through historical and biblical themes, contrasting with the more atmospheric and reflective tone of “Cascade.”
Another track, “Evermore,” draws inspiration from the writings of Edgar Allan Poe, reimagining themes of grief as a journey toward hope rather than despair.
