The long-awaited DR top of the range makes its debut, with plenty of space, comfort and extremely rich standard equipment

The awaited DR 6.0, the top of the lineup for the Italian automaker founded in 2006 in Macchia d’Isernia, in Molise, arrives by Massimo Di Risio. The new born DR Automobiles joins the DR 3, DR 4.0 and DR 5.0, while maintaining its belief in the values of quality, safety, low fuel consumption and reduced emissions that guide the production of the Italian brand’s cars. The DR 6.0 is an SUV with significant but not excessive dimensions, with a length of 4.5 meters, width of 1.84 meters, height of 1.74 meters, and a wheelbase of 2.67 meters. The boot capacity is 380 liters which can go up to 1,700 when the rear seats are folded down. Powered by a 154 hp 1.5 turbo engine, with 210 Nm of torque, combined with a 9-speed CVT gearbox, it is also available in a version with 149 hp from the LPG/Petrol power supply and 195 Nm of torque .

The new DR 6.0 has literally become a “Voyager SUV” for the home of the DR, with a spacious, extremely comfortable interior and very rich equipment on board. The instrument panel has a very linear design, with all the controls at hand, and the seats are upholstered in eco-leather with perforated detailing. Standard options include a panoramic roof, dual-zone automatic climate control, wireless smartphone charger, 12.5-inch infotainment system with Apple Carplay and Android Auto, Soft Touch Keyless, and 19-inch alloy wheels. The new SUV can be selected in red, black, grey, silver and white colors.

The TV launch campaign that started these days also focuses on the Italian character of the DR Automobiles group: the locations chosen are their lagoon cities of Venice and Chioggia, an emblem of the Italian beauty world. For the soundtrack, DR drew on the tunes of one of the world’s most popular Italian songs, Salvatore Di Giacomo’s poem “The Age of Di Maggio,” set to the music of Mario Pascual Costa, and reinterpreted over the years also by Franco Battiato.

From the end of this week, the new DR 6.0 will be available, ready for delivery, at DR dealers throughout Italy. The price of the petrol version is 28,900 euros, while the price of the Thermohybrid petrol / LPG version rises to 29,900 euros.
