It is called “Pasillo de Honor” and is performed to honor a team that has just won a cup or distinguished itself by sporting merit. On Sunday we saw it from the Torino players, who waited in two rows for the Inter players, the new Italian champions, before the match in the Meazza.
Yesterday, Monday 29 April 2024, the boys of the Avane first team, new winners of the third category championship, Group B – Pisa, received the winners’ honours.
The men of Mr. Francisco Coppola (a double for him, because this year he also won the championship with the under-15 team) were greeted by two rows of children and young people from the yellow and black youth sector, who waited for them on the pitch in minutes before the evening training of the first team.
Moreover, this was a very welcome surprise, as the players were not aware of the party.
Then came the Via Magolo club’s thanks to the team through readings by two young footballers, born in 2016, who cried a few tears for a visibly moved Coppola.
The Avane team concluded the third category championship in first place, and after 22 matches it managed to reach 50 points, one point ahead of the La Corte team, which is based in Calce, in the province of Pisa.
