A groupUniversity of Calabria, A doctoral student trained by Giuseppe Mazzotta and professors in the fields of mathematics and computer science Carmine Dodaro and Francesco Rica, winner of the prestigious Prize for Research in the field of Artificial Intelligence at the University of Calabrian. . The recognition was given during one of the most important international conferences on artificial intelligence, the AAAI Conference on Artificial Intelligence (AAAI-22) in Canada. This research is part of a short list of 12 articles selected from more than 9200 scientific articles evaluated by the project team, of which less than 15% were accepted for presentation at the conference. In particular, Dodaro, Mazzotta and Ricca were awarded the “Best Student Paper Honorable Mention AAAI-22” for their research. The award-winning work, entitled “ASP Systems Collection”, describes a new artificial intelligence technology that allows machines to solve complex problems, even humans, capable of integrating and inferring knowledge.
“Our mission – 25-year-old Giuseppe Masotta, Ph.D. Existing systems – he adds – increase in staff and tasks, maintaining the same constraints, for example, costs have not been able to calculate the right solution. On the other hand, our research allows us to overcome this limit and solve the problem automatically even in previously unthinkable cases, apparently in a wide range of applications The results obtained strongly support our mission, which gives us great pride. It has paid for all the effort and sacrifice I made in my first year of my doctorate, but it has taught me that nothing more important than that is possible.
