Prime Video is expanding its French-language Young Adult programming with Campus Drivers, a new six-episode original series adapted from C.S. Quill’s bestselling novels. The streaming service has released the first official teaser and confirmed that the series will premiere globally on November 6, 2026.
The production stars Carmen Kassovitz and Baptiste Masseline as Lois and Lane, bringing a popular French literary property to the screen as Prime Video continues to invest in Young Adult dramas with international reach.
Bestselling French Novels Move to the Screen
Campus Drivers is based on the novels by C.S. Quill, published by Hugo Publishing. According to Prime Video, the books have sold nearly one million copies in France, providing the new series with an established audience ahead of its streaming debut.
Kassovitz, known for Stalk, takes the role of Lois, while Masseline, whose credits include Mixte, plays Lane.
The supporting cast includes Madior Fall (Love Me, Love Me), Esteban Vial (Lucky Luke), Felix Nebel (Les Saisons), Enzo Lorente (Mi Amor), Paolo Luka-Noé (Nouvelle Vague), Eloïse Rey (Surface), Louna Balavoine (The Man in the Hat) and Cassandra Cano (Tigres et Hyènes).
The series was created by Thomas Boullé, whose credits include Erica. Tom Goris, known for Knokke Off: Jeunesse dorée, and Vianney Lebasque, known for Les Grands, are involved in the writing and directing. Campus Entertainment, an Empreinte Digitale company, is producing the project.
All six episodes are scheduled to become available November 6 exclusively on Prime Video across more than 240 countries and territories.
Campus Romance Drives the Six-Episode Story
The series centres on Lois, a young woman accepted into the prestigious Belrose University alongside Max, her lifelong love. Her carefully planned university experience changes when her relationship falls apart.
Lane approaches campus life differently. He is the creator of Campus Drivers, described as the university’s hottest app, and has developed a reputation for avoiding commitment.
Lois and Lane Are Brought Together Unexpectedly
Their lives intersect after a heartbroken Lois arrives at Lane’s doorstep, setting up an unexpected living arrangement between two people from very different worlds.
The story follows the growing attraction between them while exploring emotional wounds, relationships and the uncertainty surrounding their changing lives. The university setting and romantic storyline position the production squarely within the Young Adult genre that has become an increasingly visible part of Prime Video’s international content strategy.
Prime Video Expands Young Adult Programming in France
The November launch follows the September 18 release of the film You+Me – Against the World, another addition to Prime Video’s Young Adult offering in France.
The streaming service is positioning the two releases alongside established international titles in the genre, including the Culpables trilogy and Maxton Hall, as well as more recent productions Off Campus and Sterling Point.
For Prime Video, Campus Drivers also represents an opportunity to turn a commercially successful French publishing property into a series capable of reaching viewers well beyond its original market.
Global Distribution Extends Reach of French Production
The decision to release Campus Drivers simultaneously across more than 240 countries and territories gives the French production immediate international distribution. That strategy reflects the broader role streaming platforms have played in making locally produced films and television series accessible to global audiences.
Prime Video currently combines original movies and series from Amazon MGM Studios with licensed programming and live sports. In Canada, its sports portfolio includes NHL, NBA, WNBA and PWHL programming, while customers can also access additional streaming subscriptions through the platform.
With Campus Drivers, Prime Video is betting that an established French book franchise, a university romance storyline and worldwide distribution can help strengthen its Young Adult catalogue. The full six-episode season will arrive on November 6, 2026.
