A Classic Story Reimagined for Modern Audiences
Prince Adam Returns to Save Eternia
In Masters of the Universe, Travis Knight reimagines Mattel’s legendary franchise through a live-action adaptation centered on Prince Adam’s journey back to his homeland.
After being separated from Eternia for 15 years, Prince Adam, portrayed by Nicholas Galitzine, is reunited with his destiny when the Sword of Power guides him home. Upon his return, he discovers that the once-thriving kingdom has fallen under the control of the villainous Skeletor, played by Jared Leto.
To reclaim his world and protect those closest to him, Adam joins forces with Teela, portrayed by Camila Mendes, and Duncan, also known as Man-At-Arms, played by Idris Elba. Together, they confront Skeletor as Adam embraces his role as He-Man, the legendary defender known as the most powerful man in the universe.
The production combines fantasy storytelling with large-scale action sequences, continuing the franchise’s legacy more than four decades after its debut.

Production Highlights Sustainable Filmmaking Practices
Hydrogen Power and Electric Vehicles Used During Filming
Beyond the action on screen, the production incorporated several sustainability initiatives during filming in the English countryside.
Mercedes electric vehicles transported most of the cast and producers between filming locations, while electric vehicle charging stations were installed on-site to support production logistics.
The production also utilized hydrogen power units (HPUs) supplied by GeoPura to power the basecamp and charging infrastructure. The hydrogen-powered systems generate water as their only exhaust and operate with minimal noise, offering an alternative to conventional diesel-powered generators.
According to the studio, these efforts form part of Amazon’s broader sustainability strategy across its business operations, including film and television production.
Global Campaign Supports Save the Children
‘You Have the Power!’ Initiative Expands Beyond the Screen
Alongside the film’s release, Amazon MGM Studios and Mattel are partnering with Save the Children through an ongoing philanthropic campaign inspired by the franchise’s long-running message of empowerment.
Building on the iconic slogan, “You Have the Power!”, the initiative encourages fans to support programs that provide children worldwide with access to healthcare, education, and protection from harm.
Supporters can contribute through the Pledge platform or by texting HERO to 707070, with donations benefiting Save the Children directly.
The campaign extends the franchise’s message beyond entertainment by encouraging audiences to participate in global charitable efforts.
