Original Lullabies Take Centre Stage at Allied Music Centre
TORONTO — The Lullaby Project Celebration Concert returned to the Allied Music Centre Theatre on June 13, bringing together families, artists, and community organizations for an evening that showcased the power of music to strengthen family bonds and support new parents.
The annual event featured 11 original lullabies, each created through collaborations between participating parents and professional artists. The songs were performed live for the first time, marking a significant milestone for families involved in the program.
Parents and children from community partners Jessie’s Centre, Birth Mark, and University Health Network attended the event, which celebrated creativity, connection, and the shared experiences of parenthood.
The concert is part of The Lullaby Project, an initiative designed to empower new and expectant parents by helping them create personalized songs for their children. Through the program, participants work alongside professional musicians to develop original lullabies that reflect their hopes, experiences, and personal stories.
Since adopting the initiative in 2017, The Corporation of Massey Hall and Roy Thomson Hall has helped more than 90 Toronto-area parents create original lullabies in partnership with professional artists.
A recording of the full performance has been made available through the organization’s YouTube channel, while original recordings from previous participants can also be accessed online.
Massey Hall and Allied Music Centre Announce New Performances
Alongside the celebration concert, several new performances were announced this week for venues operated by The Corporation of Massey Hall and Roy Thomson Hall.

Busy Summer Schedule Continues Across Toronto Venues
The announcements come as Massey Hall, TD Music Hall, and Roy Thomson Hall continue a busy summer and fall programming schedule that spans music, comedy, culture, and community-focused events.
Upcoming performances include Canadian blues and soul artist Shakura S’Aida, who will perform alongside Caleigh Cardinal at TD Music Hall on June 19, 2026.
Also scheduled for June 19 is “An Acoustic Evening with Trey Anastasio,” presented by Live Nation at Massey Hall. The performance is expected to attract fans of the guitarist, singer, and songwriter best known for his work with the band Phish.
Later in the month, classic rock group America will take the stage at Massey Hall on June 25 as part of its ongoing concert tour.
Community Programming Remains a Key Focus
While major touring acts continue to headline the organization’s venues, community-based initiatives such as The Lullaby Project remain an important part of its broader mission.
The success of this year’s Celebration Concert underscores the growing impact of programs that use music as a tool for connection, wellness, and creative expression. By giving parents the opportunity to create and perform songs dedicated to their children, the initiative continues to foster meaningful experiences that extend beyond the concert stage.
With new performances announced and community programs continuing to expand, Toronto’s premier music venues remain focused on delivering a diverse mix of cultural experiences for audiences across the city.
