Residents and hockey fans in the Strathcona Regional District will have an opportunity to gather and watch the 2026 Stanley Cup Finals together as Strathcona Gardens prepares to host a series of live public viewing events throughout June.
The special event series, organized by SRD NEWS at Strathcona Gardens, will feature live broadcasts of the opening four games of the Stanley Cup Finals between Rod Brind Amour’s Carolina Hurricanes and the Vegas Golden Knights. The games will be shown on a large-screen television located on the Leisure Arena Dry Floor.
The initiative is designed to bring local hockey fans together during one of the NHL’s most anticipated championship matchups while offering a family-friendly viewing environment for the community.
“Rod Brind Amour’s Carolina Hurricanes face off with the Vegas Golden Knights for the final series in the 2026 Stanley Cup Playoffs!” the announcement stated.
The watch parties are scheduled to coincide with the first four games of the series. Events will take place from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on the following dates:
