GRAMMY-winning ensemble to perform at Allied Music Centre venue as part of international touring schedule
Tickets go on sale June 5 through Massey Hall box office and TD Music Hall website
(TORONTO – June 1, 2026) — New Orleans jazz-funk pioneers The Dirty Dozen Brass Band are set to perform in Toronto later this year, with a scheduled appearance at TD Music Hall on Friday, Nov. 6, 2026, as part of their ongoing international touring calendar.
Presented by Massey Hall, the concert will bring the GRAMMY Award-winning ensemble to the 500-capacity downtown Toronto venue located within Allied Music Centre at 178 Victoria St.
Tickets for the performance will go on sale Friday, June 5 at 10 a.m. ET through TDMusicHall.com and the Massey Hall box office. Membership pre-sales will also be available ahead of the public on-sale date.
Founded in New Orleans in 1977, The Dirty Dozen Brass Band has spent more than four decades redefining the traditional brass band format by blending jazz, funk, bebop, R&B and soul influences into a style the group has described as a “musical gumbo.” The band’s approach helped modernize brass band music and expand its reach well beyond its Louisiana roots.
Over the course of its career, the group has toured across five continents and more than 30 countries while releasing 12 studio albums. The ensemble has also collaborated with artists spanning multiple genres, including Modest Mouse, Widespread Panic and Norah Jones.
The band’s reputation for energetic live performances and genre-crossing arrangements has made it a recognized name on the international touring circuit. Organizers said the Toronto performance will continue the group’s long-standing tradition of high-energy live shows rooted in New Orleans musical culture.
“Forty-five plus years later, The Dirty Dozen Brass Band is a world-famous music machine whose name is synonymous with genre-bending romps and high-octane performances,” the event announcement stated.
Veteran lineup continues legacy of influential brass ensemble
Current members include founding performers alongside newer touring musicians
The current touring lineup for The Dirty Dozen Brass Band includes Roger Lewis on baritone saxophone and vocals, Gregory Davis on trumpet and vocals, Kirk Joseph on sousaphone, Trevarri Huff on tenor saxophone and vocals, Stephen Walker on trombone and vocals, Julian Addison on drums, and Takeshi Shimmura on guitar.
The group remains widely regarded as one of the most influential modern brass bands to emerge from New Orleans, helping inspire a new generation of brass ensembles that blend traditional street music with contemporary genres.
Toronto’s TD Music Hall has increasingly positioned itself as a destination for both emerging Canadian talent and internationally recognized touring acts since opening as part of the Allied Music Centre redevelopment project.
TD Music Hall continues expansion of live music programming
Venue forms part of Allied Music Centre’s broader cultural and educational strategy
According to organizers, TD Music Hall was designed as a state-of-the-art performance venue with a 500-person capacity intended to support live music, artist development and community engagement initiatives.
The venue also hosts programming aimed at students, community organizations and music education participants, with a focus on fostering future performers and audiences.
Allied Music Centre, which houses TD Music Hall, serves as a broader live music and cultural ecosystem in downtown Toronto. In addition to Massey Hall and TD Music Hall, the complex includes Allied Music Centre Theatre, the restored Allan Slaight Auditorium and the Muskoka Spirits Basement Bar.
The facility also features The Deane Cameron Recording Studio and creative editing suites intended for established musicians, emerging artists and community-based projects.
The Dirty Dozen Brass Band performance adds to a growing slate of international acts appearing at the venue as Toronto’s live entertainment sector continues to expand its post-pandemic programming and audience development efforts.
Tickets for the Nov. 6 performance will be available online through TD Music Hall and by phone through the Massey Hall box office at 416-872-4255 beginning June 5 at 10 a.m. ET.
