TORONTO — Prime Video has released the official trailer for its upcoming English-language Italian Original film Love Me Love Me, setting the stage for a worldwide launch on Feb. 13, 2026 as the streaming service continues to expand its international slate with youth-focused franchise properties.
The film is based on the first novel in the four-book “Love Me Love Me” series by Italian author Stefania S., a story that gained significant traction online with more than 23 million reads on the Wattpad platform before being published by Sperling & Kupfer. The adaptation positions Prime Video to tap into a well-established young adult fan base that has increasingly driven global streaming demand and social-media marketing momentum.
Love Me Love Me features an international cast led by Mia Jenkins, Pepe Barroso Silva and Luca Melucci. The ensemble also includes Andrea Guo, Michelangelo Vizzini, Madior Fall and Vanessa Donghi.
Prime Video said the film will be available exclusively on its platform worldwide, aligning with a strategy that uses global releases to maximize viewership across multiple markets simultaneously, rather than rolling out titles country by country.
The project is directed by Roger Kumble and written by Veronica Galli and Serena Tateo. It is co-produced by Lotus Production — a Leone Film Group company — and Amazon MGM Studios, with support from WEBTOON Productions.
The co-production structure highlights the growing collaboration between European production companies and major U.S.-based studios, as streamers compete for international originals that can travel well across borders. For Prime Video, the film also represents a notable investment in Italy as a production hub, while delivering a story designed for English-speaking audiences worldwide.
The plot centres on June, a teenager coping with the loss of her brother. According to the film’s synopsis, she moves to Milan for a fresh start and enrolls at an elite international school, where she begins dating Will, described as the school’s “perfect honor student.” However, June’s stability is disrupted by a volatile rivalry with Will’s best friend James, a charismatic and troubled figure who is hiding a dangerous double life involving clandestine MMA fights.
As tensions escalate, the rivalry shifts into attraction, pushing June into a decision between a predictable sense of safety and a relationship that challenges her expectations. The story blends themes common to the young adult romance category — grief, identity, social pressure and emotional risk — with the heightened stakes of underground sports and secrecy.
The February release date positions Love Me Love Me as a Valentine’s season title, a window traditionally targeted by both theatrical and streaming platforms for romance and relationship-driven stories. For streaming services, the period has become an increasingly competitive time to launch titles that appeal to younger audiences and couples, with viewership often boosted by social sharing and fan communities.
Prime Video’s announcement also underscores how digital publishing platforms like Wattpad continue to influence mainstream film and television development. Stories that build large online readerships provide studios with early indicators of demand, helping reduce risk and improve marketing efficiency. With more than 23 million reads cited for the original novel, the film arrives with built-in awareness and a global fan base that may support strong opening-week engagement.
In its release, Prime Video also emphasized its broader positioning as a single destination for entertainment, offering movies, series, documentaries and live sports through one application across thousands of devices. In Canada, the service has leaned into live sports programming such as Prime Monday Night Hockey, while also carrying major scripted titles and licensed content, as well as optional channel subscriptions through Prime Video Channels.
The company said customers can access a range of premium programming, including Amazon MGM Studios-produced series and films, as well as additional content through partner channels. Prime Video also highlighted that customers can rent or buy select titles through the Prime Video Store, regardless of whether they hold a Prime membership.
The release did not provide box office comparisons or viewership projections, but the film’s global exclusive launch signals Prime Video’s expectation that Love Me Love Me can perform as an international franchise entry rather than a niche regional release. With its English-language format, Milan setting and multi-national cast, the project is positioned to appeal beyond Italy and to travel in key markets including North America, Europe and other Prime Video territories.
Prime Video said Love Me Love Me will premiere worldwide on Feb. 13, 2026.
