Conference in Cagliari awaiting researchers’ night
(ANSA) – Cagliari, Sept. 22 – From dark matter to spinning galaxies. Moving on to questions posed by biotechnology or energy issues that require the world of science to establish closer relationships with everyday life and problems (eg high bills).
These are some of the topics covered this afternoon in Cagliari, at the Emotional Science Day, a conference organized and promoted by the Science Association in the Sardinian Foundation Conference Hall.
The initiative, carried out with the support of the Department of Culture of the Municipality of Cagliari, was included as a pre-event within the program of events for the Researchers’ Night that will take place in the city on September 30.
It also marks a step towards the 15th edition of the Science Festival to be held from November 10 to 13, which will be devoted to the precise topic of the relationship between science and technology.
A Journey into the Particle World, Toward the Higgs and Beyond, Lecture by Giulia Manca, from the Department of Physics, Cagliari University. Then talking about science, a discussion on the importance of scientific publishing, with words by Viviana Fanti, University of Cagliari, David Bedis, University of Genoa, Carla Romanino, former President of the Science Association for Science, Paolo Solita, head of the INAF-OAC press office. and finally “De Curious Experiments”, with Ugo Galassi, Honorary Adviser to the Scienza Società Scienza providing some scientific experiments.
Dedicated to the historical figure Eva Mammeli Calvino, one of the most important scientists of the early twentieth century, world-famous botanist and mother of the writer Italo Calvino.
