The DDO Fine Arts and Crafts Market will return to Dollard-des-Ormeaux from November 6 to 8, 2026, bringing together more than 80 local artisans and exhibitors at Galeries des Sources. The annual event, organized by the Dollard Centre for the Arts (DCA), will feature handmade products, food vendors, charitable activities and the Artists’ Association of Dollard’s fall art exhibition.
The market, which has operated for more than 40 years, is moving to a new venue following significant flooding that affected the Dollard-des-Ormeaux Civic Centre. The relocation was arranged through cooperation between the DCA, the City of Dollard-des-Ormeaux and Galeries des Sources.
New Venue Creates Opportunities for Local Artists and Small Businesses
The move to Galeries des Sources will provide additional exhibition space for artisans while allowing the longstanding community event to continue despite disruptions at its previous location.
Megan Bradley, special events coordinator at the Dollard Centre for the Arts, welcomed the arrangement.
“We are breathing new life into an old landmark of DDO and creating fresh opportunities for the community to gather and support small local businesses, artists and charities. What an opportunity! This is an exciting new chapter of a well-loved story.”
The market serves as a seasonal retail opportunity for independent creators across Montreal’s West Island and surrounding communities, connecting small businesses with customers ahead of the holiday shopping period.
More Than 80 Exhibitors to Showcase Handmade Products
This year’s market will feature returning exhibitors alongside new artisans offering products across several categories and price ranges.
Visitors can expect pottery, ceramics, handcrafted jewellery, woodworking, knitwear, stained glass, photography, paintings and textile art. Additional merchandise includes candles, upcycled clothing, children’s apparel, pet accessories, stationery, skin-care products, kitchen decorations and holiday ornaments.
Food exhibitors will offer baked goods, snacks, desserts and specialty products, including the market’s popular fudge.
Karina Leonard, the DCA’s new managing director, highlighted the event’s role in encouraging artistic participation and community collaboration.
“It is a wonderful opportunity for our artisans and artists to come together and showcase their works of art and their creations. Not only does it inspire creativity in our young artists, but it also puts us in the spirit of generosity and community collaboration. Be prepared for a sensory smorgasbord of exciting colours, smells and tastes as you sample all the Market has to offer. I’m also excited about the AAD Fall exhibition and the interactive art activity they are offering. The weekend event promises to be very engaging and not to be missed.”
Artists’ Association of Dollard to Hold Fall Exhibition and Sale
The Artists’ Association of Dollard (AAD) will present its fall exhibition alongside the market, providing visitors with opportunities to view and purchase original artwork.
Participating artists will be available to meet attendees and discuss their work. Artist Bobby Bennett will also lead an interactive art activity open to visitors of all ages.
The exhibition adds a visual arts component to the broader retail event, supporting both established and emerging artistic talent in the community.
Market to Support 10 Local and National Charities
Charitable fundraising remains part of the market’s programming, with 10 organizations receiving support during the weekend.
Participating organizations include West Island Mission, the Royal Canadian Legion in Dorval, Bri Cares Adoption, Friends for Mental Health, On Rock Community Services, Action Jeunesse de l’Ouest-de-l’Île, West Island Black Community Association, Fondation des artistes, Liam Foundation and Fondation Make-A-Wish Rêves d’enfants Canada.
Visitors are encouraged to contribute non-perishable food items and gifts for On Rock Community Services and West Island Mission.
Family activities will include a photo scavenger hunt, while the market’s raffle will return following an edition that produced more than 70 winners last year. Customers spending at least $10 with an exhibitor will qualify to enter the prize draw.
