Prince Albert Transit is operating all available bus routes on an hourly schedule Monday, October 5, with departure times divided between two groups of routes from the city’s downtown transfer station.
The temporary operating schedule affects the West Flat, Rush Hour, All Day, East Flat, West Hill and East Hill services. The Core Express route will not operate during the day, according to the latest transit schedule issued by the City of Prince Albert.
Passengers are being encouraged to check current transit information before travelling, as the schedule could be revised if operating conditions change.
West Flat, Rush Hour and All Day Buses Depart at 15 Minutes Past the Hour
Under the October 5 schedule, the West Flat, Rush Hour and All Day buses will operate once every hour.
These services will begin their hourly trips from the downtown transfer station at 15 minutes past each hour. Riders using any of the three routes should plan their connections and arrival times around the reduced frequency.
The hourly arrangement means passengers may face longer waits if they miss a scheduled departure, making advance planning particularly important for commuters travelling to work, appointments, shopping areas or other destinations across Prince Albert.
East Flat, West Hill and East Hill Depart at 45 Minutes Past the Hour
A second group of routes will also operate hourly but will leave the downtown transfer station at a different point during each hour.
The East Flat, West Hill and East Hill buses are scheduled to begin their trips at 45 minutes past the hour.
By staggering departures between 15 and 45 minutes past each hour, Prince Albert Transit will continue providing service across several parts of the Saskatchewan city while operating at an hourly frequency.
Passengers transferring between routes should pay close attention to the departure schedule because the reduced service frequency may affect connections at the downtown transfer station.
Core Express Bus Not Operating October 5
The Core Express bus is not in service Monday. Riders who would normally rely on the route will need to review other available Prince Albert Transit services when planning their trips.
No additional details were provided regarding the Core Express suspension or when regular service on the route is expected to resume.
The service changes come as Prince Albert Transit continues to provide updates about daily bus operations. Schedule adjustments can have an impact on workers, students, businesses and other residents who depend on public transportation to move throughout the city.
For employers and local businesses, changes in transit frequency can also affect commuting patterns for employees and customers, particularly when service operates less frequently than under normal schedules.
Passengers Advised to Monitor Schedule Updates
Prince Albert Transit is directing passengers to its latest information for current route and schedule details. The city indicated that further changes will be communicated when new information becomes available.
“Please check Prince Albert Transit for up-to-date information on transit routes and schedules. Any revisions to this schedule will be published as soon as we have that information. Until then, the above schedule will be in effect.”
For Monday, October 5, passengers should therefore expect hourly service on the operating routes, with West Flat, Rush Hour and All Day buses departing downtown at 15 minutes past the hour and East Flat, West Hill and East Hill buses leaving at 45 minutes past the hour.
The Core Express remains out of service, and riders are advised to continue monitoring official transit updates for any changes to the operating schedule.
