VANCOUVER, B.C. — Registration has opened for the 2027 Vancouver Sun Run Presented by Herbaland Naturals, with organizers encouraging participants to secure their places early after Canada’s largest 10K road race reached capacity ahead of its previous edition.
The 43rd Vancouver Sun Run is scheduled for Sunday, April 18, 2027, bringing runners, walkers, families and organized teams back to the streets of Vancouver. Registration officially opened September 8, with lower introductory prices available during the event’s Start Line Special period.
Organizers Encourage Early Registration After Capacity Sellout
Demand for the annual event has increased, according to organizers, with the previous race selling out several weeks before race day. That experience has prompted organizers to advise prospective participants not to wait until the later registration periods.
Early registration also provides access to the lowest pricing tier, which remains available through October 31.
“The enthusiasm surrounding the Vancouver Sun Run has never been stronger. After reaching full capacity and selling out last year, we are filled with excitement as we open registration for 2027,” said Tim Hopkins, Race Director. “Our goal remains focused on delivering an inclusive, world-class experience for serious runners, first-time participants, walkers, youth, and corporate teams alike. We encourage everyone to register early on September 8th to ensure they don’t miss out on Vancouver’s favorite spring tradition.”
The event continues to position itself as both a major road race and a community wellness initiative, with participation options designed for different ages, experience levels and organizations.
EVA BizFam Expands Sponsorship Role
EVA BizFam is expanding its involvement for 2027 as the Official Sponsor of both the EVA BizFam 10K Team Division and the EVA Air 2.5K Mini Sun Run.
The team division is intended to bring colleagues, friends and other groups together around shared fitness goals, while the shorter Mini Sun Run provides another option for families and participants seeking an alternative to the full 10K distance.
The Vancouver Sun Run’s Ambassador Program will also return. Community leaders and influencers selected for the program will document their training and encourage participation in the months leading to the April event.
2027 Vancouver Sun Run Registration Prices
For individual 10K participants, Start Line Special registration is priced at $27, or $30.73 total, for youth, children and seniors aged 65 and older. The price increases to $32 during the Early Bird period from November 1 through January 31, before rising to $42 for regular registration.
Adult 10K registration begins at $55, or $62.60 total, during the Start Line Special. It increases to $61 during Early Bird registration and $71 during the regular period running from February 1 until noon on April 15.
Mini Sun Run and Team Pricing
For the EVA Air 2.5K Mini Sun Run, youth, children and seniors can register for $27 during the opening pricing period, increasing to $32 for Early Bird registration and $37 during the regular period. Adult pricing starts at $42 before increasing to $47 and then $52.
EVA BizFam 10K Open Teams require a minimum of 10 members. Youth and senior team-member registration begins at $27, while adult registration starts at $55. Regular team registration runs from February 1 through February 21.
Youth Teams require at least 14 members. Youth participant pricing ranges from $27 during the Start Line Special to $42 during regular registration. Adult chaperone registration starts at $42 and increases to $52 during the regular period, which ends February 28.
Virtual participation is also available for 10K Open Teams and Youth Teams. Registration costs $35 per team member of any age through January 31, increasing to $45 during the regular registration period.
43rd Vancouver Sun Run Set for April 2027
The tiered pricing structure gives participants a financial incentive to commit months ahead of race day while helping organizers manage demand for an event that has demonstrated its ability to reach capacity.
With corporate teams, youth groups, families, competitive runners and recreational participants all represented, the 2027 edition will continue the Vancouver Sun Run’s longstanding focus on broad community participation.
