PUNE, India — Tri Polarcon Pvt. Ltd. has acquired 100% ownership of Rockhard Polycoats Pvt. Ltd., bringing together two Pune-region construction chemicals businesses as demand grows for integrated flooring, waterproofing, coatings and structural repair solutions across India.
The transaction gives Tri Polarcon full control of Rockhard Polycoats and expands its presence in industrial epoxy and polyurethane flooring, protective coatings and structural repair. Financial terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.
The deal comes as India’s construction chemicals market responds to increasingly complex industrial, infrastructure, warehousing, pharmaceutical and food-grade projects, where customers are seeking suppliers capable of providing multiple specialized solutions under a more integrated approach.
Tri Polarcon Expands Construction Chemicals Portfolio
Tri Polarcon, a Pune-based manufacturer and exporter, markets its products under the TRIFLOR brand. Its portfolio includes epoxy, polyurethane, EPU and water-based flooring systems, as well as waterproofing products, protective and anti-corrosive coatings, sealants, grouts, adhesives, mortars and concrete admixtures.
The company also operates in-house research and development and manufacturing capabilities, allowing it to develop products for a range of commercial and industrial construction applications.
Rockhard Polycoats brings a more specialized set of capabilities to the combined business. The Pune-headquartered company has developed experience in industrial epoxy and PU flooring, antistatic flooring, car parking flooring and protective coatings.
Its structural repair operations include restoration and steel protection, areas where technical knowledge, site experience and established relationships with contractors can play an important role in securing and delivering projects.
Acquisition Brings Together Complementary Expertise
The companies operate in adjacent areas of the construction chemicals industry, creating an opportunity for Tri Polarcon to broaden the range of services and products it can offer customers.
India’s industrial and infrastructure development has increased demand for specialized construction chemical applications. Large manufacturing facilities, warehouses and pharmaceutical and food-processing projects can require flooring, waterproofing, protective coatings and repair systems to meet specific performance and safety standards.
By combining the companies’ capabilities, Tri Polarcon is positioning itself to address more of those requirements through a single organization.
“I’ve spent more than twenty years in this industry, and I know a deal like this doesn’t mean much on its own,” said Vijay Mohite, Chief General Manager of Tri Polarcon. “What matters is what we do with it — bringing two strong teams together and making sure customers actually feel the benefit.”
Rockhard Polycoats Operations Set for Integration
Tri Polarcon said its strategy is to build on Rockhard Polycoats’ existing technical expertise and customer relationships rather than replace them. The company is presenting the transaction as the beginning of an integration process designed to combine the strengths of both organizations.
Details about how that integration will be implemented remain limited. Tri Polarcon has not disclosed the number of employees involved in the transaction, the acquisition value or a timetable for completing the operational integration.
Consolidation Reshapes India’s Construction Chemicals Sector
The acquisition reflects a wider trend toward consolidation and portfolio expansion within India’s construction chemicals and coatings industry. Manufacturers are broadening their capabilities as customers manage larger projects with increasingly demanding technical specifications.
For suppliers, offering several related products and services can also provide an advantage when customers prefer to coordinate flooring, waterproofing, coatings and structural repairs through fewer vendors.
Tri Polarcon expects the acquisition to strengthen its position in industrial epoxy and PU flooring while complementing its existing waterproofing, coatings and broader construction chemical businesses.
For Rockhard Polycoats, the transaction places its specialized expertise and customer relationships within a larger construction chemicals platform.
The combined business will now focus on integrating the two companies while maintaining their technical capabilities and established market relationships. Tri Polarcon sees the acquisition as another step toward building a larger presence in India’s industrial flooring, waterproofing, protective coatings and construction chemicals market.
