Prime Video has unveiled the first official teaser trailer and key art for the second season of The Terminal List, confirming that the action-thriller starring Chris Pratt will return globally on October 21, 2026.
All eight episodes of the new season will become available on the same day in more than 240 countries and territories. Produced by Amazon MGM Studios, MRC and Civic Center Media, the series expands the story of Navy SEAL Commander James Reece into a broader international espionage thriller.
The return follows the global performance of the franchise, which Prime Video says has accumulated more than 100 million viewers worldwide to date.
Chris Pratt Returns as James Reece in The Terminal List Season Two
Based on Jack Carr’s bestselling novel series, The Terminal List follows James Reece, played by Pratt, as he confronts conspiracies and threats linked to his military career and personal life.
Season Two draws its storyline from Carr’s second novel, True Believer. After the revenge-driven events of the first season, Reece begins a new journey that takes the story beyond its original setting and into an international conflict.
The upcoming episodes will follow Reece across the Indian Ocean, Southern and Northern Africa, the Middle East and Europe. His investigation ultimately exposes a conspiracy stretching from Moscow to Langley while also uncovering connections to his family’s history.
The shift marks an expansion in scale for the franchise, moving from the psychological revenge-thriller approach of Season One toward a globe-spanning espionage story.
Returning Cast Joined by New International Characters
Several established characters will return alongside Pratt. Tom Hopper reprises his role as Raife Hastings, while Constance Wu returns as Katie Buranek. Dar Salim is back as Mohammed Farooq, and Luke Hemsworth returns as Jules Landry.
Gabriel Luna joins the cast as Freddy Strain.
Season Two also expands the show’s international ensemble with Costa Ronin, Olga Kurylenko, Yul Vazquez, Martin Sensmeier, Arnold Vosloo, Jeremy Bobb and Shiraz Tzarfati among those appearing in the new episodes.
Military Authenticity Remains Central to Prime Video Series
The production is continuing its emphasis on military authenticity as the storyline moves into new locations and conflicts.
Executive producer and former Navy SEAL Jared Shaw and executive producer and former Army Ranger Max Adams oversee the show’s action and authenticity work. Military veterans are also involved across several areas of production, including as writers, actors, technical advisers and directors.
Among those participating is former Navy SEAL Ray Mendoza, whose directing credits include Warfare.
The production team has positioned those contributions as an important part of the series’ approach to portraying Special Operations personnel, including the relationships, decision-making and moral complexities surrounding their missions.
Pratt, Fuqua and Carr Continue as Executive Producers
Pratt executive produces the series through Indivisible Productions. Writer and showrunner David DiGilio and author Jack Carr also serve as executive producers.
Antoine Fuqua and Kat Samick executive produce through Fuqua Films, alongside Adams and Shaw.
The series’ continued expansion comes as streaming platforms compete for global audiences with recognizable franchises and premium productions capable of travelling across international markets. For Prime Video, The Terminal List represents an established action property with both a literary foundation and a substantial worldwide audience.
All Eight Episodes to Arrive October 21
Unlike series that release episodes weekly, the entire eight-episode second season is scheduled to premiere Wednesday, October 21, allowing subscribers to watch the new chapter immediately in full.
The launch will make The Terminal List available alongside Prime Video’s wider catalogue of original programming, licensed films and television series, as well as live sports offerings in Canada that include the NHL, NBA, WNBA and PWHL.
With its expanded international cast, multiple global settings and a storyline based on True Believer, Season Two is positioned to broaden the scope of the franchise while continuing James Reece’s story after the events that established the series with audiences worldwide.
