Press Release: Registration Begins for Largest Youth Grass Volleyball Tournament in Ontario

The Scorpions Youth Volleyball Club in cooperation with the City of Cambridge announce that registration for their Giant Youth Volleyball Tournament at Riverside Park June 30th, 2015 has begun. Press Release (04/01/2015) Cambridge, ON - The Scorpions Youth Volleyball Club are pleased to release details and to start accepting registration for their Giant Youth Volleyball Tournament Tuesday June 30th, 2015, Bill Struck Field, Riverside Park.

This event is approved as an Ignite Pan Am Parapan Am Games initiative.

The Scorpions Volleyball Club has over four hundred and fifty youth involved in their summer programs. They are working with the City of Cambridge to put on the largest grass youth volleyball tournament ever in Ontario.

The Scorpions will be setting up over 25 grass courts at Riverside Park in Cambridge ON.

The date June 30th was chosen as youth are done school and it will help promote Canada Day which is the next day. The cost is only $10.00 a player to register from 9:00am-4:00pm. Boys and girls born 2004-1997 are welcome to attend.

You do not need a team to register you. We can put you on a team. You can register as a team of 4 for $40.00. The games will be 4 a side. There will competitive and house league divisions.

Paul Langan, founder of Scorpions Volleyball Club states, "We are very proud to be partnering with the City of Cambridge, to put on this historic youth sports event in Cambridge. This will be the largest grass youth volleyball tournament ever held in Ontario. We will add more grass courts if necessary. It is exciting to be doing this as part of the Ignite Program of the Pan Am Parapan Am games. "

The club will also be donating $1.00 from each registration to Kidney Cancer Canada.
