The SPX wall system is a new option in home construction that offers the highest energy efficiency, extra interior living space and more value at a cost competitive with a standard poured concrete wall. SPX is a steel panel wall system made from 95% recycled content, weighs 90% less than a concrete wall and will not crack, leak or support mold.

WireService.ca Press Release (02/05/2014) Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario - The future for foundation walls has never looked better. Evolutiondeck Inc., the manufacturer of the Paverdeck system, has launched a new steel panel wall system to compete with traditional and ICF foundations.

The SPX wall system is a game-changer that provides builders a new reliable cost-effective alternative foundation system and consumers more protection and value in their basement. It is the only structural wall system with a continuous metal exterior diaphragm for superior structural capacity.

Made from 95% recycled steel, the SPX wall system is 90% lighter than an ICF or poured concrete wall, easily and economically ships to remote locations, and is easy to assemble by a 3-person crew quickly with simple tools.

SPX steel panels are galvanized to exceed the life of the home, and are sealed to each other in the plant for a watertight assembly. Steel panels do not off-gas chemicals and are fireproof.

For the consumer, the SPX wall panel system will not support mold or mildew growth, will not wick moisture or crack and leak. The SPX wall can be insulated to over R34 reducing heating costs, and its narrow depth can add over 100 square feet of additional living space to an average-sized home.

"For more remote building where concrete cannot be shipped or applied economically, and as an alternative to traditional and new building methods, the SPX product answers with sustainable strength and value", said John Naccarato, Evolutiondeck President. "Due to its recycled content and long lifespan, the SPX system is an earth-friendly sustainable alternative that is competitively priced and adds value to your home investment".

Evolutiondeck Inc. is an engineering company with roots from the automotive and steel industries, and manufactures the SPX system for custom, prefab and DIY installations. For more information, visit http://www.spxwall.com.
