Après des mois et, dans certains cas, des années de silence, plusieurs femmes détenues à la prison de Nova ont se présenter pour raconter leurs expériences d'avoir été agressées sexuellement par un Service correctionnel du Canada (SCC) garde. Aujourd'hui, avec le soutien d'un avocat et des sociétés Elizabeth Fry de l'Atlantique, trois femmes ont intenté une poursuite contre le SCC. Elles cherchent la justice pour elles-mêmes, mais aussi un changement pour les femmes qui viendra après eux.


CSC GUARD SEXUALLY ASSAULTS WOMEN: CAEFS RESPONSE TO THE ATLANTIC CRISIS

After months, and in some cases years, of being silenced multiple women prisoners at Nova prison have come forward to tell their experiences of being sexually assaulted by a Correctional Service of Canada (CSC) guard. Today, with the support of a lawyer and the Atlantic Elizabeth Fry Societies, three women have launched a lawsuit against CSC. They are seeking justice for themselves, but also change for the women who will come after them.
