Basset Hound Rescue of Ontario, a Canadian registered non-profit Canine Rescue organization, announces the 2009 Basset Bustle Extravaganza in Hamilton, Ontario on May 30, 2009.



This event will see hundreds of Basset Hounds descend on the Hamilton-Burlington SPCA Dog Park for a celebration of all things basset!

Now in its 6th year, the event draws dogs from across Ontario and the U.S. to help Basset Hound Rescue of Ontario raise awareness and funds to make sure abandoned and unwanted basset hounds find permanent, loving homes.



The fun-filled family day includes a giant raffle, dog contests, games, face painting and a BBQ plus many more activities celebrating all things hound. Not to be missed are the hundreds of basset hounds enjoying the day at the SPCA’s off-leash dog park.



The event also hosts a groomer, canine chiropractor, dog trainer plus other canine related vendors. A photographer will be photographing the bassets for the 2010 Basset Hound Rescue Of Ontario calendar.



All dog-lovers should plan to attend this not-to-be-missed event.

Basset Hound Rescue of Ontario is a registered non-profit Canadian charity run by volunteers. The Basset Hound is an often misunderstood breed that leads to a remarkable number of abandoned and unwanted dogs requiring homes. Basset Hound Rescue will take in all Basset Hounds, make sure all veterinary care is provided, place them in foster homes where they are assessed and place them into suitable permanent homes.
