Eleven Eleven Animal Rescue the only Canadian organization out of six worldwide named in Santa Paws Drive
December 8, 2009 — Montreal, Quebec, Canada. Montreal’s Eleven Eleven Animal Rescue has been named as a recipient of the first-ever Santa Paws Drive, a global on-line fund-raising initiative to help animal shelters during the Christmas season. Eleven Eleven, the sole Canadian shelter named in the campaign, will share the collected donations, both cash and goods, with five other shelters in the United States, United Kingdom and Australia.

Eleven Eleven, the sole Canadian shelter named in the campaign, will share the collected donations, both cash and goods, with five other shelters in the United States, United Kingdom and Australia.
“We are thrilled and honoured to be part of this campaign,” says Caroline Ross, founder of Eleven Eleven Animal Rescue. “Many of our animals were rescued within minutes of being euthanized. For a non-profit organization that depends entirely on volunteers, this donation will help us give our animals the attention they need, in particular medication and veterinary care. This donation means a great deal to us.”
Eleven Eleven’s passion and dedication to animal welfare has resonated with its fans in the virtual and real worlds, and was nominated for the Santa Paws Drive by Montreal Critters [4], an online pet supply retailer.
The Santa Paws Drive [5] is a special online fund-raising event that was set up to brighten up the lives of rescued animals who will spend the holiday season in shelters while they wait for their “forever homes”. The Drive’s goal is to raise $3600 by December 18, 2009 and is using social media to spread the word. At press time, almost $2400 has been raised. All the proceeds will be shared equally between the six charities. Online donations can be made through the Santa Paws Drive website.
